90 metre Underfloor Heating Pipe

HPW delivers DOWLEX™ 2344 E PE-RT (PolyEthylene of Raised Temperature) pipes. This pipe is fabricated with five layers. The DOWLEX™ pipes prevent oxygen passing according to DIN 4726 and can be used for water temperatures up to 95 °C and a pressure of 6 bar. In addition, pipes also have KOMO certification. It is important to eliminate oxygen from the pipes to prevent corrosion. HPW can deliver pipe with a diameter of 16 x 2.0 in rolls of 90,120,200,500 and 600 metre lengths.

Main Characteristics

DOWLEX™ 2344 Polyethylene Resin is an ethylene-octene-1 copolymer, produced in the proprietary solution process of The Dow Chemical Company. It has a unique molecular structure with a controlled side chain distribution, which provides excellent stress crack resistance properties combined with very good Long Term Hydrostatic Strength.

Processability

Typical extrusion temperatures for processing of DOWLEX™ 2344 Polyethylene Resin range from 190 to 230 °C. The use of a reverse temperature profile may be beneficial on certain types of processing equipment. DOWLEX™ 2344 Polyethylene Resin should comply with FDA regulation 177.1520, EU-Directive 2002/72/EC, NSF/ ANSI Standard 14 (Plastic Piping System Components and Related Materials) and NSF/ANSI Standard 61 (Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects) when used unmodified and processed according to good manufacturing practices. The purchaser remains responsible for determining whether the use complies with all relevant regulations.
